Commenting on this, Sharon Nishi, Chief Marketing Officer, General Motors Africa and the Middle East, said: “GMC began operations in the region in 1926. Today, nearly a century later, we take great pride in GMC’s rich heritage and in witnessing the company’s continued growth and expanding strength in the Middle East—a market we consider our own, whose culture is embedded in the brand’s DNA. The Middle East remains GMC’s sole export market outside North America, and we remain committed to providing our customers with the ideal companion they truly need on all terrains, enabling them to enjoy class-leading innovations, outstanding features, and, of course, unmatched off-road capabilities. Last year, the all-new and first-ever Yukon AT4 was introduced, garnering tremendous interest and demand. Today, we are very proud to come together to celebrate the success and evolution of the AT4 brand, while simultaneously opening a new chapter with the regional unveiling of the ‘GMC Hummer EV,’ the first super-truck of its kind. When this revolutionary vehicle hits the region’s roads late next year, it will be among the most capable on both paved and off-road terrain.”
