XPENG Officially Enters Kuwait with Auto Sales, as Yabeela Motors Heads to Dubai to Test the GX and G9L

XPENG and Auto Sales for Wholesale and Retail Trading signed the official distribution agreement for Kuwait last week, at a ceremony where the XPENG GX and XPENG G9L were shown to media and guests for the first time. The brand’s official launch in the Kuwaiti market is expected in January 2027.

As the next step in our coverage, the Yabeela Motors team is heading to Dubai with XPENG to attend the regional launch of both SUVs, take them on a real test drive, and learn more about them before they arrive in Kuwait.

What we know about XPENG in Kuwait

• Distributor: Auto Sales for Wholesale and Retail Trading is the brand’s official distributor in Kuwait.
• Launch: sales in Kuwait are expected to start in January 2027.
• Line-up: XPENG Kuwait plans to announce four models next January, all with range-extender (REEV) powertrains.
• Built for the region: before arriving in Kuwait, the cars are being tested in the Middle East in high-temperature conditions.

Yabeela Motors in Dubai: launch night and test drive

On 2 November, the Yabeela Motors team will attend XPENG Dubai Night, the official regional launch of the GX and G9L, along with media roundtables with the XPENG team on the Kunpeng range extender, the flying car and design. The next day, 3 November, we will test drive both SUVs in Dubai’s Al Qudra desert area and share our honest impressions.

XPENG GX: six-seat luxury

The GX is XPENG’s flagship: a 5,265 mm luxury SUV with six seats across three rows and a yacht-inspired design. Highlights include:

• Power doors that open by voice command from outside the car, with an automatic side step.
• Smart privacy glass in the second and third rows that dims in 0.16 seconds.
• Zero Gravity seats with massage for a first-class feel.
• 370 kW (about 503 PS) in the AWD range-extender version, with 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.
• A total range of around 1,200 km, according to the XPENG team.

XPENG G9L: The New Intelligent Class

XPENG presents the G9L as “The New Intelligent Class”. It is a 5,120 mm SUV offered with six or seven seats, combining comfort and smart technology:

• 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds in the AWD version.
• First and second rows that fold into a bed.
• A dedicated anti-motion-sickness mode for long journeys.
• A 12.5-litre fridge with cooling and heating, and a 21.4-inch rear screen.
• 360-degree exterior voice interaction and intelligent parking.
