The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced that the Chinese brand JETOR has joined its list of global sponsors, becoming the official automotive partner of the 2027 Basketball World Cup, which will be hosted by Doha in the first edition of the tournament to be held in the Middle East. FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis and JETOUR International Chairman Ke Chuan Deng signed the agreement in Doha.

Under the agreement, Jetor will provide an official fleet of vehicles and transportation services to support the national teams, delegations, guests, and participants throughout the tournament, which will feature 32 national teams playing 92 matches in the Qatari capital; the partnership will extend through the final stage of the tournament.

Zagklis said the Federation welcomes Jetor as one of FIBA’s newest global suppliers, emphasizing that this partnership aligns with the highest standards of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, which will be held next year in Doha. For his part, Ki Chuan Deng described the partnership as mutually beneficial, creating significant value for both parties, noting that Jetour looks forward to inviting fans and users around the world to experience the brand’s spirit of travel and exploration.

This partnership is an extension of the “Travel + Sports” strategy that Jetor is implementing around the world through local partnerships with major soccer clubs in the Middle East, Central and South America, and Africa. In 2025, Jetor served as the official transportation partner for the Arab Football Cup, providing a fleet of 400 vehicles to transport athletes, officials, and guests.

Sponsoring the 2027 FIBA World Cup marks Jetor’s first partnership with a top-tier global basketball event, expanding its sports strategy to include basketball for the first time. In addition to providing transportation services, the company aims to engage with local communities and contribute to the development of basketball culture around the world.
