Kia Strengthens Global PBV Dealer Partnerships through Kia Discovery Program in Korea
Kia Corporation has successfully concluded the 2026 Kia Discovery program in Korea, bringing together PBV dealer principals and business partners from major markets worldwide, including the Middle East, to reinforce collaboration and support the next phase of the company’s global PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) expansion.
The program comes as Kia continues to grow its dedicated PBV business following the successful launch of the PV5 and the recent unveiling of the PV7 at IAA Transportation, giving global partners deeper insight into Kia’s PBV vision, future growth strategy and customer-focused business model.
Three Days Across Headquarters, Plant and Experience Center
Held in Korea from October 20 to 22, 2026, the program featured a series of business sessions, facility tours and onsite experiences designed to showcase the technologies, products and operations underpinning Kia’s PBV business. Participants represented Kia’s major PBV markets across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
The program’s stops included:
- Kia headquarters and R&D facilities: exploring Kia’s PBV vision, product roadmap and development capabilities.
- Hwaseong EVO Plant: insight into the manufacturing operations supporting Kia’s PBV expansion.
- PBV Experience Center: deepening understanding of how Kia’s PBV solutions, software and services come together to address diverse customer needs.
PV5 Passes 57,000 Units in 14 Months
Kia’s plans are backed by clear commercial momentum: global sales of the PV5 surpassed 57,000 units by the end of August 2026, just 14 months after launch. Building on this, the recently unveiled PV7 adds greater capacity and flexibility, extending the scope of Kia’s PBV offering for business fleets, logistics and services.
The Roadmap to 2030
At its 2026 CEO Investor Day, Kia outlined its PBV growth roadmap, summarised below:

| PV7 | Scheduled for launch in 2027 |

A Customer-Focused PBV Ecosystem
Kia’s PBV strategy combines purpose-built electric mobility with tailored software solutions and dedicated services to deliver greater business value to customers. The Kia Discovery program further strengthened alignment between Kia and its global partners, supporting future market expansion and advancing Kia’s vision to become a global leader in the PBV market.
Conclusion
Kia Discovery 2026 underlines Kia’s commitment to bringing its dealer partners, including those from the Middle East, into its electric commercial vehicle vision, with a clear plan that starts with the success of the PV5, continues with the PV7 in 2027 and the PV9 in 2029, and aims for 232,000 annual PBV sales by the end of the decade.
